KEEP MOVING FORWARD

Life is often described as a journey filled with twists, turns, challenges, and victories. The metaphor of moving forward holds profound significance in both the secular and spiritual realms. In the Christian faith, "keep moving forward" embodies the idea of persevering through life's trials and joys and continually moving forward in faith. We cannot keep moving forward unless we are walking in faith. The word Faith in Hebrew is Emunah and means supporting God.

The Bible teaches us to walk by faith, not sight [2 Corinthians 5:7]. This means trusting in God's guidance even when the path is unclear. It's a call to continue confidently moving forward, knowing God is in charge. The key to our walking by faith is to maintain endurance and perseverance.

Endurance. The Christian life is often described as a race that requires persistence [Hebrews 12:1-2]. This passage from Hebrews encourages believers to lay aside every weight and sin, fixing their eyes on Jesus, the ultimate example of perseverance. We should never quit or slow down. We aim to finish the race and receive our crown.

Perseverance. Life's journey is not exempt from trials, but the book of James encourages believers to consider trials as opportunities for growth. Perseverance through challenges leads to spiritual maturity and completeness [James 1:2-4]. To keep moving forward, we must walk in God's Will. Keeping on the path involves trusting in the Lord and acknowledging His guidance. Acknowledgment of Him is to agree with Him. He promises that He will direct our path [Proverbs 3:5-6]. This well-known Proverb reminds us to lean not on our understanding but to agree with God in all our ways. The journey can be tiring, but Christ Jesus invites believers to rest in Him [St. Matthews 11:28-30]. The yoke of Christ is easy, and His burden is light, providing comfort and relief for those who keep walking in His footsteps. Through faith, perseverance, and trust in God's guidance, we can navigate the complexities of life with hope and assurance. The Bible provides a roadmap for this journey, reminding us that the destination of being with God for eternity is worth the effort regardless of our challenges. So, in both the highs and lows, let us keep moving forward, knowing that our faith-filled steps are guided by the One who has promised to be with us every step [St. Matthews 28:20].
