GOD PROVIDES BREAKTHROUGHS BEFORE BREAKDOWNS

Life can throw us curveballs, unexpected crises, and disappointment.  These events bring us to the verge of a breakdown. When all seems lost and despair looms large, we often seek solace in believing that the LORD can intervene and provide a breakthrough. The adage “God provides breakthroughs before a breakdown" encapsulates this belief, suggesting that divine assistance is imminent even in the darkest times.

The belief in divine intervention finds its roots in our faith, as our Heavenly Father actively participates in our affairs [Isaiah 43:2]. The Bible is replete with instances where God intervenes miraculously to deliver His people from perilous situations. One of the most prominent examples is the story of the Israelites' exodus from Egypt, where God performs a series of supernatural acts, culminating in the parting of the Red Sea to facilitate their escape from the Egyptian army [Exodus 14].

Moreover, the Psalms are replete with verses that extol God's faithfulness in times of trouble. Psalm 34:17 declares, "The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." Similarly, Psalm 46:1 proclaims, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." The Gospels abound with accounts of Jesus performing miracles, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, and calming the stormy sea. These miraculous deeds serve not only as demonstrations of Jesus' divinity but also as symbols of God's intervention in the lives of believers.

One of the most compelling narratives illustrating the principle of breakthrough before breakdown is the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis. Joseph's life is marked by a series of trials and tribulations, including betrayal by his brothers, slavery in Egypt, and false accusations leading to imprisonment. However, God orchestrated events at each juncture of adversity to elevate Joseph to prominence and authority in Egypt, where he could save his family from famine [Genesis 41:37-45].

God will ALWAYS provide a breakthrough before a breakdown. He will intervene in our personal affairs according to His divine purpose and timing. Knowing our Heavenly Father will become involved instills confidence and trust in His faithfulness, even amid adversity and uncertainty. No matter how critical your circumstances may seem, God is always at work behind the scenes, orchestrating events for your ultimate good [Romans 8:28]. Moreover, when we invite and actively seek God's guidance and intervention through prayer and supplication, James 5:16 exhorts, "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." By entrusting our concerns to God and aligning our will with His, we can experience His transformative power at work.
