![Fresh Hope Workforce Development Ecosystem Partners with Carver High School to Launch THE HUB: Harnessing Unlimited Brilliance

Winston-Salem, NC ā The Fresh Hope Workforce Development Ecosystem is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Carver High School and Principal Thyais Maxwell in launching THE HUB [Harnessing Unlimited Brilliance], a transformative workforce and career development initiative designed to create intentional pathways for rising and graduating seniors toward sustainable careers and economic mobility.
THE HUB officially launches in July 2026 and will begin enrolling rising seniors and graduating seniors in September 2026. The initiative is already gaining momentum, as 29 graduating seniors from the Class of 2026 at Carver High School have officially signed up to join THE HUB. Tory Ellison, Graduation Coach at Carver High School, invited Bishop John C. Parks to participate in a Career/Job fair on April 24, 2026, at Carver High School, resulting in 29 graduating seniors signing up to participate in The HUB.
Powered by the Fresh Hope Workforce Development Ecosystem and its network of more than 31 strategic partners, The HUB was created to bridge the gap between high school graduation for students with no plans for post-secondary education by exposing students to workforce development opportunities, skilled trades, technical certifications, mentorship, leadership development, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness training.

The HUB is more than a programāit is a movement designed to help students discover purpose, direction, and opportunity.ā
Principal Thyais Maxwell emphasized the importance of collaboration and exposure for students preparing for life after graduation. Fresh Hope Workforce Development Ecosystem is proud to announce a transformative partnership designed to strengthen the future of youth from Aspire NC Youth and Family [ages 13ā17] and Fresh Hopeās The HUB [Harnessing Unlimited Brilliance] (ages 17-18) through mentorship, personal development, and career pathway opportunities.
This strategic collaboration will connect graduating participants from Aspire Youth & Familyās youth development programming, who graduate in June 2026, directly to Fresh Hopeās newly launched initiative, The HUB, which officially launches in July 2026.
Aspire NC Youth & Family [aspirenc.org] specializes in youth and family development programming for ages 13ā17, with a focus on behavioral support, life skills, mentorship, counseling, and family engagement. Through this new alliance, students completing Aspire NCās programs will now have a direct opportunity to continue their journey through The HUB as rising seniors and graduating seniors. The HUB, powered by the Fresh Hope Workforce Development Ecosystem, is designed for rising and graduating seniors who have no plans for secondary education but need personal development and a career pathway toward a successful life.
This collaboration reflects an intentional effort in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County to develop proactive solutions to combat youth disconnection, violence, and crime. Together, Aspire Youth & Family, Fresh Hope Workforce Development Ecosystem, and Habitat for Humanityās Youth Empowerment Program are building a future where young people are equipped not only to surviveābut to thrive, and not become prey to youth violence, crime, or the consequences of unemployment.
